Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav will contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections from the Karhal constituency of Mainpuri.
Akhilesh Yadav is currently the Lok Sabha MP from Azamgarh.
Voting for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will begin in seven phases from February 10.
Voting in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases on 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
