Prayagraj: A day after the death of a Class III student in the Banmau Primary School premises, an iron gate fell on her. Pratapgarh An FIR has been registered against all the teachers of the school, Gram Sabha President, Management Committee members and Gram Sabha members in the district.
An eight-year-old girl died on Wednesday morning when the gate of the Banmau Primary School complex fell while swinging on it. Another student standing nearby was also injured in the incident.
Police said that the girl’s father Ashok Kumar Saroj, a resident of Banmau, has lodged an FIR against all the teachers of the primary school, members of the Gram Sabha and the chairman of the management committee, alleging negligence in ensuring the safety of his daughter.
He said in the FIR that his daughter had left the house at 7 am on Wednesday to attend the morning shift of the school. While she was waiting for the teachers, who usually come late, the main gate of the primary school and the pillar suddenly fell on her and she died on the spot.
Police said the incident took place around 7.40 am when the girl Vandana Saroj (8) was swinging on the gate who suddenly fell and fell on her and she died on the spot.
Kunda police said that a thorough investigation is going on and action will be initiated after the investigation is completed.
