The pilgrim has been sent to Srinagar for further treatment.

The Army on Monday airlifted the seriously injured 50-year-old Amarnath pilgrim from the Bararimarg helipad in Jammu and Kashmir after he fell nearly 100 feet after his pony lost balance, officials said.
The pilgrim, Satyanarayan Toshneya, is from Akola in Maharashtra.
A defense spokesperson said, “He was returning from the holy cave after darshan along with daughter and wife on the pony. Near Breimarg, the pony became unbalanced and the man fell about 100 feet towards the river.”
It said that the pilgrim suffered a head injury and a fracture in the chest.
“Army personnel, along with mobile rescue teams, rushed to the spot and rushed the man to Army Medical Aid Post, Bararimarg. He was provided first aid at MAP and immediately a helicopter was called and the man was evacuated from the Barrimarg helipad. is with his daughter,” it added.
He has been referred to Srinagar for further treatment.
The Amarnath Yatra began last week after a two-year Covid hiatus.
