The Mumbai Police is investigating whether Kunal Kamra’s jokes target Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde, were part of a conspiracy and whether the Comic was helped in money or any other form to make fun of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, sources have said.
A team from Khar police station visited Kunal Kamra’s Mumbai house, where his parents live with a summons, asked Comic to appear to be present against him. Since the comic was left the state, the summons has also been sent to its WhatsApp number. Kamra faces several allegations, including statements for defamation and public mischief.
