After hours of suspense, the Central Bureau of Investigation today accepted Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s request to defer questioning in a case related to alleged corruption in the scrapped liquor sale policy. Mr Sisodia this morning requested the probe agency to give him time till the end of February as he was busy preparing Delhi’s budget. While the BJP describes his request for more time as an ‘excuse’, Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal says the case against his deputy is fake. On Left, Right and Centre, we ask – is the case against Sisodia a genuine investigation into violations of law, or merely political vendetta?
