Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi today said it was ‘wrong and far-fetched’ to say that he had suggested renaming the state with his recent comments on ‘Tamizhgam’. Clarifying on the controversial remark that led to the “Tamil Nadu vs Tamizhgam” debate, Mr Ravi said those who speculated did so “without understanding” the basis of his speech.
