For the first time, a temple in Kerala’s Thrissur has introduced a robotic elephant to perform rituals. The Iringadanapalli Sri Krishna Temple performed the ‘Nadayiruthal’ ceremony of the robot elephant named ‘Irinjadapilla Raman’. Four people can sit on the mechanical elephant, which is 11 feet tall. It has been built at a cost of Rs 5 lakh and has wheels on its legs.
