Income tax officials today searched the BBC’s Delhi and Mumbai offices and seized phones and laptops, weeks after a huge controversy over the UK broadcaster’s documentary series on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the deadly communal riots in Gujarat in 2002. A “survey” linked to alleged irregularities in international taxation and transfer pricing involving the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), sources said.
