During a conversation with one of her neighbors, her Afghan neighbor noticed how thin she had become. When he told her about his surgery and illness, he decided to help her out by giving him containers filled with homemade food, so that he wouldn’t have to worry about cooking when he recovers. to keep track:
One of my neighbors is an Afghan. A few weeks ago, he had fled leaving his entire family. He asked in broken English last week why I looked skinny (ESL – forgive him ). I said Id recently had surgery and was sick. He just shoved it around. All homemade including curd and bread. pic.twitter.com/Lh3ePFKi4x

The food they ate consisted of bhindi (Bhindi/Bhindi), a sabzi (spinach) with spinach, a vegetable made of roti and curd.
“He fled a few weeks ago, leaving his entire family.” His unnamed neighbor, like many others, fled Afghanistan after the Taliban took over the country last year. She said that English was not her first language, “he asked in broken English last week why I looked thin (ESL – forgive that)”. ESL is an abbreviation for “English as a Second Language”.

“Love your neighbor” may be a biblical phrase but it is true regardless of nationality and religion. It is these stories that bring back faith in humanity and teach that if we are kind to others, others will also be kind to us.
