These days the trend of marriage is gaining momentum on social media. Some couples take the festivities a step further and include live painters, musicians, celebrities and sometimes even find new ways to enter the venue. While some people relish the grand event, others enjoy the social media viral trends that come with it. However, contrary to these trends, a bride did something completely different and netizens were left in tears. The bride announced that she would be chopping her hair during her reception party to donate it to cancer patients.
The video was jointly shared on Instagram by Michigan wedding photographer and videographer and Brianna Esslinger. In the video, the bride exits the party still wearing her wedding dress and later everyone joins her in a room. She announced that she would cut off her long hair to donate it to cancer patients. “So, here I am pulling out my wedding hair and I’m donating them to cancer,” at this point the bride’s voice is trembling and she has tears in her eyes.
Her long hair was cut off by the hairdresser, leaving her shoulder-length hair in the clip. She then squeals with joy when she gazes into the mirror. Then the bride proudly shows the camera freshly cut hair that was going to be donated to cancer patients.
The video’s caption read, “I will never forget this… After losing my mother to cancer I saw firsthand how challenging hair loss can be for a woman. @bri_pierson You do so much for doing this.” are wonderful.” Since being shared, the clip has garnered over 3.4 million views and over 1.7 lakh likes.
