NDTV cannot independently verify the veracity of this video. But the viral video has enraged internet users and sparked a debate on road safety and animal abuse. Twitter users were quick to criticize the driver of the car for putting the dog in danger.

One user wrote, “I am concerned that the dog is collared, which means they are probably the owner of the dog and have placed it on top of the car. Causing a hazard to the road and traffic.” ” Another said, “He could be booked by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).”

A third user commented, “Definitely the wrong thing to do. Just because an animal can’t speak doesn’t give us any right to put the animal in risky situations….Car driver to be given proper advice should.” A fourth said, “People who don’t know how to treat pets should be banned from living with them. I am very upset to see this. The poor animal will be scared. Would he dare to do this to his son or daughter?” will?”

One user even pointed out that the number plate of the vehicle is visible. The user tagged the Bengaluru City Police to warn the driver for putting the dog’s life in danger. Another Twitter user asked the authorities to take strict action against the person. The user wrote, “It is cruel to treat an animal like this.”
