Viral Video: French man calls Indian bread ‘Pamatha’, the internet laughs

Indian food has gradually become a source of great interest across the globe. The humble Indian cuisine has paved the way for being a part of the buzz around food. From Hollywood celebrities to celebrities, it is no surprise now to see people enjoying hearty Indian food. Even on social media, we often find citizens of different countries and nationalities experiencing Indian curries and breads; And sharing their amazing reactions which are a hit with desi food. In a video that recently went viral, a French man was seen eating dal and parathas cooked by his fiancee – an Indian. He mistakenly called the paratha with the wrong name, and his cute mistake made the internet swoon.

This video has been shared by Canadian musician @Sharumulla on Instagram Reels. She shared the clip of her French fiancé, Arnaud Ober, in which she can be seen sitting on her lap with a plate of Indian food. Sharu asks him to identify Utensil on his plate. While the Frenchman was quick to identify the lentils, he struggled with the name of the Indian roti aka paratha. He coined a cute little fake word and called it ‘Pamatha’ instead! “Petition to call it pamatha from now on,” read the caption to the post.

The video has gone viral in no time, garnering over 8.8 million views and 845k likes. The adorable video of the cute Indo-French couple also garnered thousands of comments. “From now on it’s Pamatha>>>> don’t worry it’s just a letter,” read one comment, while another added, “He looked so cute when he last saw dal and parathasSome others said they even forgot what bread was called, “I forgot for just a second!”
