Visakhapatnam: Keep an eye on ganja addicts, police commissioner gave instructions to Arilova police

Police Commissioner Ch. Srikanth instructed the Arilova police to keep a close watch on the youth who smoked ganja in the police station limits. He said that the police should take steps according to the law for their rehabilitation after counseling. For the last few days, Srikanth has been inspecting the police stations of the city and checking the work. On Wednesday morning, he visited Arilova police station.

During his inspection, he inquired about the cases under investigation (before 2016) and asked the officials to expedite the investigation. He also sought details of pending litigation cases and directed them to take the help of public prosecutors to expedite the processes.

Srikanth directed the Arilova police personnel to deploy Beach Mobile, Rakshak Mobile, RS Mobile and Blue Colt in public places under the police station limits and to ensure that no untoward incident takes place in the area.

He also inquired about the security measures at the newly opened TTD temple at Rushikonda keeping in mind the rush of VIPs and devotees.

Shrikant assured the police station personnel that he would ask the concerned officers to expedite the construction work of the new Arilova police station.
