Volvo XC40 facelift to launch on September 21: What to expect – Times of India

In terms of exteriors, the Volvo XC40 facelift will be equipped with sleek-looking headlamps, revised front bumper and more. The model will look similar to the all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge. Along with more exterior color options, the new Volvo XC40 is also expected to get some new features.
One of the major changes expected in the upcoming XC40 will be a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine that will churn out 197 hp of power. According to various reports, except for the S60 sedan, Volvo is planning to incorporate the entire ICE-powered range in mild-hybrid technology.
Some Volvo dealerships have already started booking the upcoming XC40 SUV while deliveries will start soon after the launch.
The Volvo XC40 facelift will take on premium SUVs like the newly launched Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA and the existing BMW X1 SUV in the Indian market.
The company’s manufacturing facility in Bangalore produces the flagship XC90, compact SUV XC40, luxury sedan S90 and mid-size SUV XC6 locally. Volvo recently introduced the XC40 Recharge pure electric SUV in the Indian market, offering a range of up to 418 km per charge, which will also be manufactured at the company’s Bangalore manufacturing facility.
