Addressing a public meeting at Sanghol in Mandi, he highlighted the benefits of a “double engine government” of the same party being in power at the Center and in the state and also targeted the Congress.

BJP President JP Nadda on Friday appealed to the people of Himachal Pradesh to re-elect their party in the assembly elections to be held on November 12 to ensure that their rights are protected and development of the state is not stopped.

Addressing a public meeting at Sanghol in Mandi, he highlighted the benefits of a “dual-engined government” – the same party in power at the Center and the state – and also hit out at the Congress.

“We work for the welfare of the people, while the Congress works so that they can take advantage of power…. We work with a mission whereas Congress works for commission and corruption.

Later, the BJP President participated in a roadshow in Kasumpti to campaign for the vote of party candidate Suresh Bhardwaj. He also addressed a public meeting there.

He said that people have to choose between those who remained in power for years and did nothing and the BJP which is working to ensure speedy development of the hill state.

Himachal Pradesh will go to polls on November 12 and the counting of votes will take place on December 8.
