Voting will be held in 49 constituencies spread over 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh today in the third phase of polling. Voting is also going on in Congress-ruled Punjab today. Voting in UP began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. In Punjab, it will be from 8 am to 6 pm.

In Uttar Pradesh, all eyes will be on the Yadav family stronghold of Mainpuri’s Karhal seat from where Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is contesting his first state election.
