Defending champion Jamie Chadwick completed a perfect weekend at the W Series Miami by winning a dramatic Race 1 and dominating the season-opening doubleheader with a light-to-flag victory in Race 2.

Defending champion Jamie Chadwick completed a perfect weekend at the W Series Miami by winning a dramatic Race 1 win and a light-to-the-flag victory in Race 2. The defending doubles champions won their fourth straight W Series race. , and eighth overall, courtesy of a controlled drive from pole position. Chadwick crossed the finish line three seconds ahead of Neria Marty, who took his best finish and the second podium of his W Series career. Last season’s runner-up Alice Powell was in her 10. was six seconds behind in third place with a score ofth W Series podium finish.

Neria’s teammate Belén García finished fourth to equal her best W Series finish, while Emma Kimillainen lost her third place due to contact with Alice, which resulted in fifth place crossing the checkered flag. Some fine overtaking in the closing stages saw Abbi Pulling finish sixth, one place ahead of Betske Visser. Sarah Moore and Marta Garcia ranked eighth and ninth respectively. Chloe Chambers finished in the top 10 to score her first W Series point and finished highest of five drivers making her W Series debut this weekend.
The drivers’ second-best time during qualifying on Saturday set the grid for race two, and the front row from race one was reversed as Chadwick started from pole position and Neriah followed him. Within the next few laps, Emma attempted the same move on Neria and this time chipped it to move to second place. Three minutes later, Bruna Tomaselli pitted with a front-right puncture, which slammed her into the back of the field. With a third race finished, Neria overtook Emma for second place, but Emma fought back with a straight grandstand and took the position again at turn 1. Ahead, Chadwick set the fastest lap of the race to extend his lead. About two seconds.
The fight for second continued the next lap, and Neria regained her starting position, overtaking Emma in 11th. Abby was the fastest driver on the track and her engineer urged Betske on the radio to move to seventh place, which she duly did at 11 a.m. with seven minutes. On the final lap, Alice and Emma approached the age of 17, sending Emma spinning and behind Belen in fifth. Alice suffered front-wing damage but safely home the car in third place, although the stewards were investigating the incident after the race. Jamie accelerated his pace to get a buffer of about two seconds to get Neriah into the final lap, and the champion remained error-free to complete a perfect weekend.
