Curd is consumed more during the summer season as it helps in beating the heat. Yogurt is known to have benefits like improving digestion, boosting immunity and keeping you hydrated. It also helps in keeping the body cool during summers and helps in avoiding stomach problems. There are many things like lassi to raita which are prepared using curd. Yogurt can be consumed in both sweet and salty tastes.

Dahi Phulki is one such thing and its recipe is very simple, which can be easily prepared at home. If you haven’t tried it, try it once. This recipe is made in just 20 minutes.

Component:

Besan – 2 cups
Water – 1/2 cup
salt – as per taste
a pinch of baking soda
oil for frying

For Yogurt Mixture:

Curd – 500 grams
Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Tamarind chutney – 1 tbsp
Mint Chutney – 1 tbsp
Black salt – 1/2 tsp
chili powder as per taste

After arranging the ingredients, follow the steps below to make the dish.

Step 1: Make a batter of gram flour by adding water
Step 2: Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes
Step 3: Now add baking soda and beat it well
Step 4: After this, take out a small part from it and put it in hot oil and deep fry it till it becomes crispy.
Step 5: Take out the phulki and put it in a big bowl filled with water.
Step 6: Take curd in a big container and whisk it well
Step 7: Add salt, cumin powder and mix well with curd

Once done, take a large serving bowl. Take out the phulkis from the water in a bowl and put them in the curd mixture. Now garnish the curd phulki of gram flour with red chili powder, cumin powder, black salt, tamarind chutney and mint chutney.
