As the political battle intensified in Maharashtra ahead of the BMC elections, both the Shiv Sena factions enjoyed it fiercely during their Dussehra rallies in Mumbai on Wednesday. It was also a fight for the legacy of the party itself, and the crowds present at both the rallies, which were held six km apart, were seen as a ‘show of strength’ by both factions. The Shiv Sena faction of Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday admitted that more people had attended Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Dussehra rally. However, the moment Shinde started reading out his speech, more than 50% of them left Shinde’s rally.
