Waste Management Companies in India; IIT Mandi is the new name in the startup list

The IIT Mandi startup uses green technology to convert steel mill waste into usable items. Waste generates a lot of pollutants, most of which end up in landfills, so it is turned into a high-ferrous metal through clean combustion techniques.

The metal can then be reused in shipbuilding, oil and gas facilities, stone crushing and power plants.

The IIT Mandi team belongs to a company called Green Trek, a start-up based in Jammu and Kashmir. According to one executive, the firm focuses on a circular economy model that uses extraction metallurgy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and implement a sustainable waste management process.

It also stated that the final product is a molten metal with an iron content of 99.6%, which is then mixed with other metals to produce a variety of high-value steel and alloy castings used in various industries. To be.

However, as reported, the company’s mission is to develop steel products using state-of-the-art technology and be a leader in solid waste management in the US and abroad.

The need for effective waste management is critical in a country with a rapidly growing population. The foundation of India’s waste management problem is the lack of proper waste segregation at source.
