Coming back from injury, Ben Stokes gave fans a glimpse of his first training session on social media. The England all-rounder had removed two screws and scar tissue from his left forefinger while playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season in April. The ODI World Cup winner posted a few videos where he can be seen showing off his different types of strokes. Posting the video, she also captioned it as, “It’s training in casuals on Thursday… Usually my first ball back and this is what happened to make sure my toe doesn’t break then the end One great to be back hitting balls”.

Stokes also took an indefinite break from cricket in July to focus on his mental health. Although he is not in action, the cricketer has retained his England contract.
Due to his absence, he was not included in the England Ashes squad and was also dropped from the T20 World Cup roster. The showpiece event is scheduled to be played in Oman and UAE from October 17.
