In the video, the chef not only teaches us how to cut tough vegetables like carrots, but also tells us that this cutting technique will save your knife from getting blunt. The trick is not to apply pressure in just one direction, but to use the sharp edge of the knife diagonally to cut through the vegetable in a smoother way. It saves your knife, isn’t harsh on your hands, and ensures clean slices of carrots every time you chop a vegetable.
