Watch: Daredevil stunt by Manchester students to rescue dog stuck in canal

Five others were hanging a student on the bank of a canal.

A video of some brave students pulling a dog out of a muddy canal after a difficult rescue is going viral in Manchester, England. The video shows the dog swimming in the water for some time after which a pet owner called for help for his dog, who had fallen into the canal. The dog was struggling to climb the banks of the canal as its strength was fast eroding.

Batu Akiol, as reported metro news, was holding on to the lead of his dog when he unfortunately fell into the Ancots Canal. Two 20-year-old boys, Jack Spencer Firmston and Ben Camphor, responded to her need for help by coming to her aid and rescuing the dog.

The news source said that Ben, who was the tallest among them, was hung upside down after too many people gathered to retrieve the dog from the canal.

People are praising this brave effort of the young man and the video has created a lot of buzz on social media. The clip documenting the bravery of Jack Spencer Firmston and Ben Kaempfer has been viewed by more than 10 million people.
