In this viral video the elephant enters the building for food
In a viral video posted on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer- Sushant Nanda, a wild elephant has been caught cautiously exiting a building. The clip shows an elephant struggling to get out of the frame of a small door, but the giant mammal still manages to get out gently.
The wild animal entered the house in search of food. Mr Nanda mentioned in his tweet that the elephant preferred the food inside the house. He also noted a fact about elephants that they have better smell receptors than any mammal—including dogs, that they can smell food that is even several miles away.
Along with the video, Mr. Nanda wrote, “When it comes to their favorite stuff these kinds of things are no barrier…the gentle giant wriggles after a delicious breakfast. He has more than any mammal – including dogs. There are more odor receptors – and can smell food that is even several miles away.”

One social media user commented, “Be careful not to damage the structure unnecessarily. Always smart and courteous”. Another person wrote, “It could sense sugarcane… It’s one of the favorite foods for the cute, huge and most intelligent animal, the elephant.” Social media users were desperate to know which snack they ate. “Really curious to know what her favorite breakfast was that brought her here.”
A few days back, Mr Nanda posted a close-up shot of two wild elephants going on an adventure inside the Binnaguri Army Camp Hospital. “The elephant in the room… from Jalpaiguri Cantonment,” he said while captioning the post. In the video, an elephant is seen coming through the door, pushing its massive body into the corridor.
