Commuters at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport recently thanked SpiceJet’s flight attendants for a treat, who broke down in a flash rush amid a routine day at work. And, they were joined in his spirited performance by Bengali actress Monami Ghosh.
A video of the flash mob was shared on social media and went viral in no time. The clip shows the actress and the SpiceJet crew dancing to a Bengali song Tapa Tini from movie Belasur. The song itself has created a lot of buzz online after it was used for a folk dance challenge on Instagram.
The screening at the airport is part of a promotional campaign for the film which is currently running in theatres. Monami Ghosh shared a clip of the flash mob on Instagram. The video begins with the actress in the middle as the flight attendants dance in a circle around her. They are soon joined by Monami Ghosh and move in with her; With their hands around each other, reminiscent of traditional folk dances.
Sharing the video, Monani Ghosh said, “For the first time at Kolkata airport, Flash mob with all the ladies of SpiceJet Airlines.”
The video has garnered 505k views on Instagram since it was shared on May 19.
A longer version of the performance was also shared on YouTube by production house, Windows bellashuru, Along with the clip, a note said, “bellashuru The sky is touching the ground. SpiceJet, thank you for organizing such an amazing flashmob where the crew members participated and burst into applause. Tapa Tini How else.”
