While aloo bonda is a classic deep-fried dish made by coating potato masala in besan batter and then deep-frying, food blogger Parul Gupta added an extra crunch to this crunchy snack. Aloo masala is covered with a layer of onion. He shared the recipe video on his YouTube page ‘Cook with Parul’. Make this crispy Aloo Pyaaz Bonda at home for a delicious breakfast.

Aloo Onion Bonda Recipe: How To Make Aloo Bonda With Onion Twist
Grind green chili, ginger, garlic and coriander in a spice. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, fennel, asafoetida, cumin, kasoori methi and ground masala. Mash the boiled potatoes and put them in the pan. Season it with red chili powder, turmeric powder, red chili flakes, coriander powder, cumin powder, raw mango powder and salt. Mix well. Masala is ready!
For onion twist, peel the onion and peel off the layers as shown in the video. Prepare a thick batter of gram flour, rice flour, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and water. Make small balls of the spices and cover the balls with layers of onions. Dip the onion-covered spices in the batter and deep fry the bonda till it turns light golden. Aloo Pyaaz Bonda is ready!
