These days the social media platforms are dominated by strange food combinations. While some of these fusion dishes are actually quite interesting, others are downright meaningless, earning the wrath of food lovers. The latest entry in the weird food club is ‘Thumbs Up’ Pani Puri. Yes, you read it right!

A video of the preparation of ‘Thumbs Up’ pani puri has surfaced on Twitter, leaving foodies fuming. A Twitter user named Mohd Futurewala shared the video and wrote, “Pani puri ke deewane, pesh hai thumps up pani puri… shower your love with thumps down.”

The 26-second clip shows a street stall owner pouring ‘Thumbs Up’ into a container. He then adds some spices and a dash of lemon to it and serves a special ‘phuchka’ to a lady. Surprisingly, the lady said ‘Humko toh bohot badhiya laga’ (I liked it very much) after trying it, giving the pani puri her seal of approval.

However, Internet users did not share the same opinion. The video has shocked social media users, with many showing their displeasure towards the bizarre food invention.

“I won’t be able to sleep after this (for multiple reasons!),” wrote one user. Another commented, “Why on earth are people experimenting with the best foods.” A third said, “My stomach hurts seeing this.” A fourth wrote, “No, no…they can’t ruin it, please!”

However, one person was ready to give it a try. He wrote, “I don’t know if it might be worth a try…the chillies they add makes it interesting…is this in Mumbai?”
