Watch Royal Enfield ‘Pegasus Black Stallion’ with 865cc twin and NOS tank – Times of India

The 650 Twins from the stables of Royal Enfield pretty much turned out to be a revolution that changed what looked, felt, performance and perspective Royal Enfield The motorcycle was still there. The custom job was commissioned by Royal Enfield Europe for the popular Sultans of Sprint race series in 2019. But when all events were suddenly canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bad Winners founder Walid Ben Lamin was asked to put the project on ice. Thankfully, things finally worked out as things are coming back to normalcy now.
It is called ‘Pegasus L’Atalon Noir’, which roughly translates to ‘Pegasus the Black Stallion’. This Continental GT comes loaded with carbon fiber and performance upgrades, and lives up to its name and isn’t a show pony.

It gets an 865 cc larger bore kit from S&S Cycles in the US, complete with an upgraded camshaft, Carrillo connecting rods and a reinforced clutch. S&S also revamped the cylinder heads, and supplied the Bad Winners with a two-in-one exhaust and programmable ECU.
The Bad Winners swapped out the airbox for a pair of Velocity stacks, and rewired the GT650 from scratch. And they also fell into the nitrous system from Nitrous Express.
Since the primary purpose of this bike is going fast in a straight line, Walid and co. Decided to increase wheelbase. They started with the stock swingarm, stretching and bracing it with new chromoly steel sections.
The OEM twin-shock arrangement has also been phased out, being replaced by a single Ohlins unit. Bad Winners fabricated a new upper shock mount and subframe, along with extended foot peg mounts to set them as far back as possible. They are equipped with custom pegs, controls and linkages.
Like most race bikes, the GT 650 proudly wears its sponsor logo. But unlike most race bikes, it’s not decked out in bright colors—Bad Winners kept things monochrome, wrapping raw carbon fiber in high-gloss lacquer.
