An elderly man lying in bed shared an emotional moment with his family members when they took to Bhangra steps to cheer him up. In a video shared on Twitter by IPS officer HGS Dhaliwal, the family is seen grooving to the beats of 3 pegs By Punjabi singer Shari Mann. As the camera moves to the left, we see an elderly man in a hospital bed, weak and sick.

Young and old alike are seen dancing to cheer her up, while the old man smiles and moves his hands to the beat of the song.

“The immortal spirit of Punjabi,” read Mr Dhaliwal’s caption.

The video has garnered over 35,000 views on Twitter and many of them have been moved.

One user said, “So cute. This act definitely added more time and happiness to the old man’s life.”

Another highlighted how music can act as a form of therapy and help with the healing process.

Many agreed with the IPS officer’s point that Punjabis certainly have an immortal spirit.

“Really unbelievable” said some.

Many were overjoyed to see how the grandmother had embraced the sick man.
