The video of a loco pilot performing a demanding task comes days after a railway police officer showed exemplary presence and bravery in saving an elderly woman from being run over by a moving train.
In a video shared by the Ministry of Railways, the officer as well as another person can be seen asking them not to risk their lives by walking on the railway tracks on the opposite platform.
However, warnings fall on deaf ears. Moments later, the officer is seen running to the edge of the platform to pull an elderly woman safely onto the platform, seconds before the train passes.
This incident at Lalitpur station in Uttar Pradesh was captured in a CCTV camera.
