Watch: US YouTuber tries Hyderabadi biryani and talks fluently in Telugu

India is a mixture of different cultures, religions and food traditions. The variety of preparations and cuisine becomes even more apparent as you travel around the country. Each region has its own specialties and famous cuisine as well as its own regional dialects and languages. When someone from outside the country tries to learn something about our culture and languages, it really makes us feel happy and happy. Recently, American YouTuber Xiaoma traveled to different areas of New Jersey and actually spoke fluent Telugu while ordering Hyderabadi food. His amazing effort to speak the language and the interest he showed in Telugu food culture made for an interesting watch. Watch full video here:

This video was shared by YouTube blogger on his channel Xiaomanyc. It has already garnered over 580k views and 23k likes in just a few days. “I spoke telugu At Indian restaurants in America and the bosses were so shocked they gave me tons of free food and drinks,” he wrote in the caption.

In the video, the US YouTuber explained that Telugu was a fairly common language in New Jersey, and was steadily growing in popularity. Thus he visited some Hyderabadi restaurants across the city and interacted with the owners in Telugu. At first, the restaurant owners were a bit taken aback when Xioma spoke their mother tongue. However, later, they praised her and even gave her free food and drinks! YouTuber Xiaoma first tried the delicious Iranian tea, then the most famous Hyderabadi Biryani. He also sampled an onion chili uttapam and finished it off with a sweet and spongy rasa malai.

Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani is one of the typical dishes of this region.

YouTube users praised the blogger for his amazing effort to try and learn recipes telugu Language: Hindi. One user wrote, “Speaking the native dialect/language of the local people shows how you really respect their cultures and traditions.” “Xiaoma needs to run a secondary channel where he reviews all this food he gets,” laughed another.
