Internet user @izzipoopi shared the clip on Instagram a few days back. In the video, she is seen wearing a white dress and pointing to her dress, says, “Friends, remember my skirt which changes colours? It also changes colours.” “Let’s walk in the sun,” she said, before setting out in the sun.

Meanwhile, the woman did not reveal what the dress was actually made of, however, several internet users explained the science behind it. “The color change of hypercolor shirts is based on a combination of two colors: the color of the dyed fabric, which remains constant, and the color of the thermochromic dye,” said one user.
Thermochromic inks or dyes are temperature-sensitive compounds, developed in the 1970s. It is likely that the dress is made of a mixture of these fabric dyes that temporarily change color upon exposure to heat.
