It is always a dream of parents to see their children grow up and become successful in their life. Nothing makes a parent happier than seeing their child excel in their career and reach new heights. Speaking of which, there can be no greater joy or pride for any athlete or sportsperson than to represent their country at the international level. One such football player is 27-year-old Sam Adegugbe, who is currently in Qatar as part of the Canadian team in the ongoing FIFA World Cup. A video is going viral on social media showing the excited reaction of his mother when she sees her son playing in the Football World Cup.
The caption accompanying the video read, “Sam Adekungbe’s mother Dee was so excited to see her son play for Canada in the World Cup.” The text insert on the video reads, “This is everything,” along with a heart emoji.

The clip shows the woman screaming and jumping with joy on seeing her son on TV. according to a tweet by canada soccer, Mr Adekugbe came on as a substitute in their opening match against Belgium. As soon as he came on the field, his mother Dee couldn’t control her excitement and did a little dance while pointing at the TV.
“My son is in the World Cup. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah,” she said, jumping with joy.
Canada may have lost Wednesday’s match, but the woman’s joy to see her son play on the grandest stage was unmatched. Social media users loved the woman’s response and congratulated her son for making his World Cup debut.
One user wrote, “Ow. That dream mama. Every mother’s delight! One day, just one day, very soon!” Another wrote, “Mama praise dance. Loved watching it.” A third said, “Always make mama proud,” while another commented, “That’s the dream, man.”
Canada lost 1–0 to Belgium in their first World Cup match. on Wednesday. Thibaut Courtois saved an early penalty and Micky Batshuayi scored the only goal to give Belgium a 1-0 win over Canada, marking the return of a North American team to the tournament after 36 years.
