Prime Minister Modi said that the efforts of the government alone are not enough in the direction of water conservation and people’s participation is very important.
“Efforts of the government alone are not enough towards water conservation. A new chapter of Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) needs to be started with multiple stakeholders from all sections of the society. In campaigns related to water conservation, we need to involve people, Social organizations have to be involved. and civil society as much as possible,” PM Modi said.
Citing the ‘Clean India Campaign’, PM Modi said that the success of the campaign has been ensured by public awareness and awareness and the same thinking has to be awakened in the public for water conservation.
