How did a small company get a contract worth crores of rupees: IT Minister
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and minister KT Rama Rao said they were seeking votes in the Munugode by-poll on the basis of the performance of the last eight years in the state and wanted to know on what basis the BJP was seeking votes. He alleged that both BJP and Congress have joined hands to defeat TRS in the by-polls.
Former MLA from Allair B. Bhishmaiah met Sri Rama Rao and Energy Minister G. Resigned from BJP in presence of Jagadish Reddy and joined TRS.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Rama Rao came down heavily on both the BJP and the Congress, saying that the BJP is trying to do money politics in the by-elections. “We have addressed the fluoride problem in the district, offered safe drinking water to every household, started irrigation projects and are moving ahead with development and welfare schemes. Let the BJP tell the people what it has done to Telangana and the people.
“Huzurnagar and Nagarjunasagar results will definitely be repeated in Munugode and we are confident that people will vote for TRS. I request voters to be careful and vote as the outcome of this election will have an impact on the future of Telangana,” warned Sri Rama Rao. Stating that the funds were not sanctioned even after the fluorosis patients were taken to the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he sought to know why Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to release the funds. He was also perplexed as to how a small company run by Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy got contracts worth thousands of crores.
Union Minister G. Referring to Kishan Reddy, the TRS working president said the Union minister was innocent and his stature was limited to the inauguration of lifts at railway stations, while Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s stature is like inaugurating the Kaleshwaram project.
Mr. G. Jagadish Reddy alleged that the BJP forced the bypolls by buying the Congress MLA on a contract worth Rs 20,000 crore.
Mr. Bhikshamaiyya Goud alleged that the Komatireddy brothers have ruined the politics of Nalgonda district.
