Weather Forecast: IMD issued thunderstorm, rain warning in these areas

Several parts of Delhi would receive light rain on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate intensity thunderstorms during the next two hours. The weather forecast agency has also predicted light rain in many parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh along with Delhi during the next two hours.

Light to moderate intensity at isolated places in and around Delhi (Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Chhatarpur, IGNOU, Ayanagar, Deramandi), NCR (Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ballabgarh) Kosli, Mahendragarh, (Haryana) It will rain with thunder. : Light rain in and around NCR (Ghaziabad, Chhapraula, Dadri) Farukhnagar (Haryana) Meerut, Modinagar, Kithor, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulati, Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Khurja (UP) during next 2 hours. It will rain. IMD tweeted.

Meanwhile, overnight rain and hailstorm lashed parts of Delhi brought down the mercury on Saturday, the India Meteorological Department said. The national capital recorded 10 mm of rain in 24 hours till Saturday morning and many parts of the state received hailstorm. The IMD said the maximum temperature was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average. The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 27.9 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.
