Imagine there’s no world war, the Great Depression hasn’t started, motorized mobility is still a new concept, the streets are empty, and you have a beautiful motorhome – ‘Have a good life’.

1914 model t caravan The motorhome is based on the standard chassis with the body added later. The RV spent some time on the roads until the early 1920s before being sold, after which it was abandoned for nearly 50 years. It did a lot of damage from time to time but it was in the 1970s, someone took notice and restored it.
Restoring this RV certainly must have been a difficult task. While the exterior was repaired, a lot of attention would be needed for the cabin which is also a time capsule. The RV carries a leather sofa, wooden furniture, a wood fire hearth and a letter box (which was the only means of communication from the street).

This Model T has been restored to the extent that it can be driven but it is unlikely that anyone would risk taking it out in the real world. No one wants to damage a rare vintage that is a memorabilia from a time forgotten. There’s no easy way to tell if this is the world’s oldest motorhome as others may have been privately commissioned or privately built, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s over 108 years old. Is.
The motorhome is being auctioned by Bonhams on September 10. The auction house has listed an estimated price of GBP20,000-30,000 (approximately Rs 18.7 lakh to Rs 28 lakh) but the final price will be decided when the hammer goes down.
