We have all ridiculed famous chip brands for their minimal quantity, deteriorating quality or removing our favorite flavors from the market, right? But even after all these complaints, we continue to eat our favorite light and airy potato snack almost every occasion. A man from Britain was similarly drunk when he was amazed at what he found in his packet of potato chips. And no, it was not missing chips or poor quality or anything, in fact, the shock was present in the packet. Dr David Boyce, a physics teacher from Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, was devastated when he discovered that his bag of Kettle Potato Chips contained just one potato. Boyce took to Twitter to explain his bizarre discovery, “So I opened a bag of @KETTLECipsUK today to find no crisps. Just a whole potato,” he wrote, sharing a photo of the potato.

In an interview with Lincolnshire Live, David shared his thoughts on the potato, saying, “My mind went completely blank. At first, I thought ‘How is this even here?’ And then I thought ‘What a champion, this little man is a survivor’, that little potato that refused to be crisp.”

David’s tweet grabbed public attention and some shared similar experiences, while others just laughed at the coincidence.

Some Twitter users had this strange notion that this is the new era of ‘DIY Crisps’, where you make your own potato chips.

KettlechipsUK also commented that they would like to discuss the potato in detail, to which David replied ‘you can have it if you want’
Not sure how he got there! Are you planning on sending us a DM so we can collect some details and ask your team to look into it? — Zoe- Kettle Chips (@KETTLEChipsUK) 16 October 2021
It turns out that David was not hungry and shocked after his new discovery – thanks to all the other snacks that went with him. What a way to enjoy your favorite chips, right?
