WhatsApp Is rolling out a new update that will allow your voice messages to be previewed before sending them. You can listen to the recording before sending it which can help you send the right message. You can either send it or discard the voice message if it’s not what you wanted. This feature will be available for both Android and iOS users. In addition, preview is available for individual and group chats.
Voice preview can be used just like you would use a normal voice recording. Simply tap and hold the microphone and then slide it upwards to begin hands-free recording. A new interface will appear with a stop button and a trash can. If you’ve finished recording just tap the stop button and press it again to listen. And if you don’t like it just tap on the trash button and it’s gone. WhatsApp also lets you jump to a specific part of the audio by tapping on the seek bar.
This feature will be helpful for those who want perfection and want to deliver accurate messages. It is like a recording of a song that may have several takes before the final version. Sound Preview makes it better to share audio accurately rather than text.
Earlier, instant messaging apps made recording more lively and interactive by enabling a waveform while recording.
WhatsApp also introduced a new privacy update that will not allow non-contacts to view any person’s last seen and online status. This new feature has been rolled out for both Android and iOS enabled devices.
