WhatsApp The desktop is adding a new feature via an update that will allow users to exercise more privacy. The instant messaging app is rolling out a new update for the desktop client via the official beta channel, bringing the version up to 2.2149.1. WhatsApp has been working on the “Accept My Contacts…” feature for quite some time which will add more control over users’ privacy. For the said update, users will have control to show/hide last seen, about, anyone profile photo.
“This feature will most likely be released on WhatsApp Web/Desktop once WhatsApp has fully rolled out the same feature on Android Beta and iOS Beta. Unfortunately, there is no known release date to enable the feature for more users on iOS and Android,” WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo found.
WhatsApp is also rolling out a new update that will allow you to preview your voice messages before sending them. You can listen to the recording before sending it which can help you send the right message. You can either send it or discard the voice message if it’s not what you wanted. This feature will be available for both Android and iOS users. In addition, preview is available for individual and group chats.
