WhatsApp will soon stop taking screenshots of messages

New Delhi: Many features of WhatsApp give privacy to users, while they can share content for a short time. The messaging app offers additional features like the ability to delay sending messages for up to two days, but its main goal is to give users a sense of security. The most recent change could provide more significant relief to users.

Users can share pictures or videos that can be viewed only once using WhatsApp’s one-view feature. The problem with this feature is that people were able to take a screenshot of that content and save it to their devices after it became unavailable for viewing.

According to information provided by WABetainfo, the function is being worked on for both iOS and Android versions. Once the results of the tests are out, WhatsApp will make the option available to beta testers, and then we can expect a confirmation of the public release.

It’s important to prevent people from taking screenshots of messages they see once; Otherwise, the whole purpose of the feature is lost. Having said that, we prefer WhatsApp to block screenshots and notify the user to effect on the other end.

Additionally, WhatsApp has recently released several updates that give you access to more features. Now available for both iOS and Android smartphone users worldwide, WhatsApp has the ability to keep a message unsent for up to 2 days. In the coming weeks, the messaging app will receive additional privacy tools from the Meta-owned platform.
