when it comes to relocating whatsapp chat From Android To iOSUsers have no option but to start afresh in iOS. Of course, they can save those chats, but won’t be able to access them. WhatsApp when making the switch from Android to iOS, which is basically the point. To address this, WhatsApp announced last month that it would be making Android-to-iOS chat migration According to a report by Android Police, the instant messaging app has added more beta testers to its program. Things seem to have worked out when testing the feature with smaller groups or people and now, more will be brought in for the next testing phase.
To be eligible for beta testing on WhatsApp, you must have WhatsApp version 2.22.7.74 (though possibly 2.22.15.11) on your Android Lollipop or later OS, with iOS 15.5 or later. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network, and also, you’ll need Apple’s Move to iOS app on an Android device and WhatsApp on an iPhone. In the Move to iOS app, you need to select the New checkbox. Follow the data transfer screen and instructions. According to the report, chat migration in the beta version allows you to send chat history, your old photos, videos and settings to the iPhone “but things like payment Will be exchanged via WhatsApp and your old call history will not be available on your iPhone.”
The success of successive testing phases bodes well for a feature to be launched in a stable release. Here’s hoping we get it soon.
