WhatsApp’s new feature to make recording voice messages easier. This way

WhatsApp Is working on a new feature that will simplify the process of recording audio messages. Currently, instant messaging applications require the user to record an audio note in a single attempt. The user can either approve the voice recording or re-record it completely.

Now FacebookProprietary instant messaging application is working on a new way to record audio messages. Users will be able to start, stop and resume in the same audio note, without having to start anew each time. Most of the voice recorders on smartphones also work in a similar way. WABetaInfo, a website that tracks all new WhatsApp updates, spotted the feature on the iOS beta version of the application. However, the report claims that WhatsApp is also working on a similar feature that will be rolled out for Android users.

A video of the new feature shows that while recording an audio message, the user will have the option to pause the recording and resume it if required.

In the video, we can see that WhatsApp has given three different buttons under the audio recording graphic. The user can start and stop recording the message by clicking on the red icon. Once they are done with the complete recording, they can send the message.

WhatsApp has also reintroduced end-to-end encryption feature for chat backup. Earlier this feature was introduced in beta versions of both Android and iOS, but later it was withdrawn. WhatsApp reintroduced it to beta testers last week.

As per a report by WABetaInfo, end-to-end encrypted backup has been enabled in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.21.5 update as well as WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.21.200.14 update.
