The BRS leader claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned her to appear on March 9 in the wake of her proposed hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on March 10 in support of the Women’s Reservation Bill.

Telangana’s BRS MLC Kavitha, who has been summoned by the ED, on Wednesday said she will fully cooperate with the probe agency but will seek legal opinion on the date of her statement in view of her proposed dharna in support of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Telangana. Delhi 10 March.

Kavita said these intimidation tactics against her father and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the fight of the BRS would not deter her.

In a statement here, she claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned her to appear on March 9 in the wake of her proposed hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on March 10 in support of the Women’s Reservation Bill.

“As a law-abiding citizen, I will fully cooperate with the investigating agencies. However, due to the strike and pre-scheduled appointments, I will take legal opinion on the date of joining.”

Kavita said, “I also want the ruling party at the Center to know that this tactic of intimidation against our leader, CM Mr. KCR and the fight against the voice and voice of our leader, CM Mr. KCR, will not stop us.”

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR, the BRS will continue to fight to expose the failures of the BJP and raise its voice for a brighter and better future for India.

He claimed that Telangana would never bow down to the anti-people rule in Delhi.

Let me also remind the power traders of Delhi that Telangana has never bowed down to the oppressive anti-people rule and will never bow down. We will fight fearlessly and firmly for the rights of the people.”

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Kavita in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy.

Kavita, 44, has been asked to appear before the federal agency in the national capital on March 9.

Kavita had decided to go on a one-day hunger strike in New Delhi on March 10, demanding the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament.

Meanwhile, the ruling BRS hit out at the NDA government at the Center over the summoning of Kavita by the ED, alleging that it was a misuse of the investigative agencies.

Telangana Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy alleged that the cases against Kavitha were a vendetta as the BJP was unable to deal with KCR.

Why is the Center silent on the “Adani issue” and why ED, CBI and Income Tax are not probing it, he said in a release.

State Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathore alleged that the ED’s action was an attempt to silence the voice of Kavita, who had proposed to protest in Delhi in support of the Women’s Reservation Bill. He claimed that the BJP was in a panic after Chief Minister KCR converted TRS into BRS.

State BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar objected to Kavitha’s comments that Telangana would never bow down to the “oppressive anti-people regime” in Delhi.

He wondered how the people of Telangana were worried about the allegations against Kavitha.

“Is Kavitha indulging in bootlegging for the sake of the people of Telangana,” she said, adding that the BRS MLC can prove her integrity in the courts.

He asked what is the relation between the investigating agencies and the BJP.

Investigative agencies have not come into existence after the formation of the BJP government at the Centre. He worked and investigated cases even when Congress and other parties were in power in Delhi. The same is happening now, Sanjay Kumar said.
