Virat Kohli arrived in Dubai with his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate Mohammad Siraj on Sunday ahead of the resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. After landing in Dubai, Kohli said in his first comment on the canceled Manchester Test match that “with Covid, things are very uncertain.” The fifth Test match between India and England was canceled after the outbreak of Kovid in the Indian camp.
RCB posted a video on Twitter in which Kohli shared his thoughts on the canceled Test match and the upcoming UAE leg of the IPL.

“Unfortunate how we got here early, but with COVID, things are very uncertain, so anything can happen anytime,” Kohli said.
“Hopefully, we are able to maintain a good strong, safe environment here and have a quality IPL and then the World Cup. So now, going into the T20 phase, I think it is an exciting phase and very Going to be important. For us at RCB and also for the Indian team in the World Cup.”
RCB will resume their IPL 2021 on September 20 against Kolkata Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi.
