The cameraman caught the woman knitting during a thrilling five-set match.
The US Open semi-final in which Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz defeated America’s Frances Tiafo was a thrilling match, but it appears that it was not entertaining enough for a fan. A video has surfaced online of a woman knitting as she sits at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.
Although a large section of the audience was biting their nails throughout the match, the cameraman caught the woman weaving during the five-set thriller, which was eventually won by Mr. Alcaraz.

The scene garnered generally hilarious reactions on social media. But people were even more surprised by the fact that the woman was sitting on the most expensive seats in the house. marka The report states that each ticket for that particular section of the stand costs around $10,000 (approximately Rs 795,000).

A third joked, “Maybe she was nervous because there was a pin and needle on the match edge,” while a fourth commented, “She probably paid thousands for the seat!! What a waste!”

Meanwhile, back in the match, on Friday, Mr. Alcarz defeated Mr. Tiafo, who was trying to become the first American to reach the men’s final since Andy Roddick in 2003.
On Sunday, the teenage Spaniard also won his first Grand Slam championship in New York after beating Casper Rudd in four sets in the final. The 19-year-old became the youngest player to climb to the world No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings.
