Sex work has long been considered a taboo or something that no one can talk about openly, but one LinkedIn user is now breaking the stereotype. Ariel Egozzi in her LinkedIn profile mentioned her work experience as a sex worker since 2020. Egozzi also shared a post on the employment-oriented social media platform, where he highlighted how sex work is a normal job.
A post shared last week details how Egozi made so much money as a sex worker that she was able to quit a home job she didn’t like. She wrote, “I had just saved my image from being sold and embroiled in something I could ask myself if I was happy. I wasn’t.” She said the money she had saved over time helped her, but that the biggest reason for her away from home job was that “sex work shows me what my power can do when I exercise it consciously.” “
Highlighting how she approaches her job as a sex worker in modern times, where boundaries and consent have become a topic of discussion, Egozzi wrote, “I charge exorbitant amounts.” She also mentioned that she has no problem in taking rejections from customers who do not want to pay the fees demanded by her. She explained that her allegations are based on the emotional labor that is required to get the job done. Egozzi said she sets and keeps boundaries with her clients and only connects in ways that are “safe, playful and abundant” for her. He made a comparison between sex work and other client works that followed similar interactions and wrote, “Why is this different from any other client work?” And since Egozi demonstrates that sexual act is a normal act, he has no hesitation in adding it to his LinkedIn profile.
Egozi’s recent post has triggered a more healthy discussion about sex work. Commenting on the post, a user wrote, “As long as the woman is voluntarily using her body to earn income, I am good with it, even if the activity is related to sex. Her body, her choice.”
