Many people who have booked cabs through aggregator apps can relate to one thing – the painful wait for the driver. When desperation strikes, they contact the designated driver via text message or phone call. However, sometimes, even after all the waiting and calling, the drivers just cancel the ride. Such examples are not new and are relevant to everyone. But everyone would appreciate some honesty, clarity, or certainty about whether or not your drive is being canceled. Setting an example, a cab driver did just that. He asked the user to cancel the ride for a simple reason – he wanted to catch up on some sleep, and the Internet isn’t blaming him.
An internet user Aashi took to Twitter to share this example. He decided to use Uber to book a cab in Bengaluru. The driver named Bharat accepted the ride. However, she later messaged him using the app’s chat box to cancel the ride because “she was feeling sleepy.” In the screenshot shared by Aashi, the driver says, “Cancel this ride, I am feeling sleepy.” To this the user simply replied by saying ‘Ok’.

“At least this guy was honest. It happened once – on his way back from BLR airport, the cab guy stopped the bus at ORR and said “Madam, I can’t drive anymore – I’m sleepy.” Around 3:30AM, I was jet lagged and scared as hell,” said one user.
Another shared a similar experience and said, “An auto driver was watching YouTube so didn’t want to ride.”
“I understand that,” added another person.
Another user commented, “A guy accepted and didn’t budge for 5 minutes before I called him and then he said “I’m waiting for your call.”
“At least the driver explained the reason..how good he is kind!!!” commented a user.
Another person said, “Work life balance is excellent.”
