World Wildlife Day is celebrated every year on 3 March across the world. It celebrates the diverse flora and fauna that are found in this planet. To encourage people to realize their value in our ecosystem; And Protect Them, the global initiative takes a variety of methods to spread awareness.
Among the various methods, the medium of film has been a major way of establishing the relationship systematically. This is why we have been watching so many animal-centric movies. Many Indian as well as Hollywood movies have given us wonderful stories in which an animal drama is either a central character or a supporting essay.

Dunston Check In
It was a super entertaining Canadian-American children’s comedy film directed by Ken Quapis, based on an orangutan named Dunstan in a luxurious hotel. The comic film revolves around Dunstan’s shenanigans, an escape from a high-handed animal control specialist. Sammy, a trained orangutan, played this central role.
Stuart Little
This charming American film, which was thoroughly entertaining, was about a mouse named Stuart who is adopted by a human couple from an orphanage. Stuart (a digitally presented main character) is a marvel to behold. He got the last name Little from the couple who adopted him. The audience fell in love with the adorable Stuart.
101 Dalmatians
Featuring Jeff Daniels and Hugh Laurie with Glenn Close, it was Disney’s first live-action adaptation of one of their animated classics. With 101 adorable dogs and puppies, the movie was fun and exciting to watch. It easily tops ’90s classics in every way.

A superhit Hindi film starring superstar Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja, the story of this film had an elephant at the center. The elephant who sacrificed his life to save his master and wife made for a compelling watch.
Kadni
It was a true-blue animal film that seamlessly explored the human and animal bond. The film starred Rana Daggubati as Veerbharti “Kadan”, who tried to save the elephant’s habitat and champion ecosystem conservation. It was filmed simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu (Aranya) and Hindi (Haathi Mere Saathi) languages.
