Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, you can never say no to a bucket full of chicken nuggets! An all-time favorite snack among non-vegetarians, they are easy to make and utterly divine. While we’re used to stacking our nuggets in a bucket, this chef duo went a step further. Renowned chef Nick DiGiovanni from the United States and Lynn Davis of Japan have teamed up yet again to set a new Guinness World Record – this time to create the world’s largest chicken nugget that weighs over 20 kilograms!
Earlier, the duo had baked the world’s largest cake pop weighing over 44 kilograms. On Saturday, June 11, 2022, Nick uploaded a YouTube video that showed him cooking a large 20.960 kg chicken nugget with Lynn in the presence of two food experts and Guinness World Records adjudicator Clary Stephens. In the video, we first see him tossing 40 slices of bread into a bowl and mashing them all together with half a gallon of milk. They then cracked 40 eggs, followed by flavoring 18 kg of ground chicken with a mixture of spices. Next, they mix together milk-soaked bread, scrambled eggs, and seasoned ground chicken. The two then added the mixture to a specially made contraption and coated it with beaten eggs and breadcrumbs using a paint brush. Then, he put the mixture in a commercial oven and let it cook for some time. Halfway through cooking, he took out the chicken nugget and coated it with a final layer of breadcrumb mixture before cooking it again.
When the chicken nugget was fully cooked, it was inspected and weighed by Clary Stephens, who then declared it the largest chicken nugget in the world. The cooking video has so far been viewed more than 1 million times on YouTube and is going viral on the internet. People are happy to see the chef duo break yet another world record and are showering congratulatory messages on the video. A YouTube user wrote, ‘Congratulations for the record. I love this pairing to break records consistently.
